Fun and excitement at a merely 15 minutes drive from PIL’s house. Albeit the ‘war’ and fight over the floating duck at home, we managed to reach LWoT at around 10.30 am, 30 minutes after the door opened. As the first few comers, we got to play by the waterfall beach garden all for ourselves. Different from Sunway Lagoon with imitation pyramid at the background, the majestic rock formations simply took my breath away. It’s a magnificent fusion of man-made and nature. Simply love it!!!
We then made our way to the Explorabay where the mothers and children spent most of our time while the fathers were whizzing down the slides and tube rides. Compared to other water parks that Ive been, this was the one with the most child-friendly slides and largest interactive play area. The plus point was the canopy that covered most part of the pool that made it a pleasant place to stay as long as you wish.
Without their papas we took the kids on a ride at the adventure train around the park. Nina was soo happy that she kept saying “kite naik Thomas ek mama”. There were not that many people at that time so the train driver drove slowly giving us the chance to sit back and enjoy the journey past the majestic ruins, surging water and even wild tigers.
After lunch, we took the children on a ride at the carousel. There were only us and another family so the caretaker let the machine run for more than 15 minutes!!!
Then it was time to try the adventure river. Unfortunately the children were afraid of the wave and reluctant to stay still on the float. The spraying water features and the noisy monkey statues simply made them cried even more. To make the matter worst, it started to rain heavily so we rushed to the nearest shelter.
The rain didn’t make us stop. We made our way to the hotspring and took a dip in the warm water. This will be the only day that I let Nina play in the rain. Alhamdulillah nobody was sick. Must be the goodness of the hotspring.
As the rain stopped, the rest of the crony made their way to the tiger valley for the feeding show. Nina was getting cranky so I let her took a nap at the shelter. After pray and tea, we made our way home, 15 minutes before they close their gate. What a tiring day…….

Mama sayang Tacha...
|
|
Last nite, while spending some quality time with my beloved daughter....
| Quote: | Me : Mama saaayaaang Tacha...
Her : Takkkk...mama sayang baby
Me : ** Thinking that she's calling herself baby** Baby...baby mane?
Her : Tuuuuu...baby dalam perut mama
Me : Haaaa...**In tears** Mama sayang Tacha laaaa...saaayaaaang sangat!!!
Her : Takkk...mama sayang baby |
Adussss....I never thought that a 2 and 1/2 year can say/think like that. Until now em still wondering whether she really meant it or just saying the words..But people said that kids dont lie kan???
She has been acting differently(read temperamental, tempestuous, clingy to the max) since I carry this new baby. Very very trying I must admit and many people said that its pembawakan budak. I pray nights and days to remain calm and patient everytime I struggle with her antics. Almost everyday either me or Jai will say to her "I love you so much Tasha" and she will casually reply "I wuv yu co mac mama/papa". I havent buy any single thing for the baby and still treating her like usual, so what did I do wrong???
I discussed with darling hubby this morning and we agreed that somebody must have said to her something like "Nanti mama Tasha dahder baby dah xsayang Tasha lagi" or anything similar to that. Hmpppp...I remembered an episode in Rugrats (One of my fav cartoon. Used to watch them every single day) where big bully Angelica 'brainwashed' Tommy when they heard that he's getting a younger brother. And I think there must be an Angelica at her nursery!!! Must be... And I swear that I'll chilli her mulut if I know who....
Yupp...she's addressing herself as Tacha since everybody at her previous and current nursery call her Tasha. Whenever asked what her name is, the reply will be "Natacha Nabina"
To NATASHA BADRINA, mama & papa love you more than words can say...You are our cuppycake, gumdrops, sugarplums and we love you so so so very much and nothing can change that. Everrrr!!!!!!!!
edited 11/3/2008 :-
It happened again last night. We were watching her favourite Barney episode. As usual, when they reached the final part (the 'I Love You' song), we sang the song together. Halfway, she stopped singing and asked me the heartbreaking question "Mama...mama love baby ek mama"...

Signs that Im ready....
|
|
...to be a kakak
***pic taken few weeks ago during my second haircut with my fav hairdresser
Last night for the first time I pooed by myself in the toilet. At the toilet seat. I climbed the seat and I didnt need the child toilet seat pad (hey Im not fat...just gravitationally challenged ) Usually, when I tell mama that I want to poo, she will ask me to wear my XXL sized pampers which is sooo uncomfortable. So last night I tricked her and said that I wanted to pee. Without asking much, she opened the toilet door and switched on the light for me. When she asked me where I wanted to pee, I said "toletbot" (my languange for toilet bowl). She just watched me climbed up and waited. Then I did my bussiness (mind you it was not easy with mama next to me) As she realised that I pooed instead of peed, she looked at me with her funny face so I told her "done!!!".
Everytime after I finished up my milk, I will put my bottle into the sink. And did mama told you that I no longer bf since last week?
Mama said I can be trying at times...But I LOVE helping her in the kitchen, rearranging our house furnitures and playing with all the cupboards, drawers etc. They are more fun then my toys u know
Yesterday mama told me that I will be a kakak soon. According to the Dr. the date will be 20.08.2008. That means another 182 days!!! Gosh Im soooooooo excited

BWP Family Day @ Teluk Rubiah Beach & Golf Resort
|
|
We were very disappointed when we reached there and saw that the swimming pool was under renovation. But our first glance at the beach put back the smile onto our face. Very very nice and since its a private beach and there were no other people staying there except BWP staff & families, who needs man-made water bodies???

Land Beneath the Wind...
|
|
It was the most challenging trip...with 3 super-active toddlers and 2 demanding babies but Alhamdulillah it went very smoothly and everyone was happy and satistified...
The first night was spent at Kinabalu Rose Cabin, Kundasang. The 3 cousins were running from room to room and refused to sleep with thier respective families. Even after I locked the door, Nina could easily unlock the knob and slip through the small gap (coz I fastened the chain lock) .
We woke up early in the morning to be greeted with such a magnificient scenery of Kinabalu Mountain, Subhanallah....
Then we were off to Poring Hotspring, and without knowing what we would experience later, all off us (yup with the babies) ventured the Poring Canopy Walkway. Nina was indeed very brave as she managed to walk through 3 of the walkway cheerfully with a number of stop in the middle asking "mama mane monkey mama" - I persuaded her to walk along the walkway by herself saying that we will be meeting monkeys and elephant. I even sang the Barney's elephant song throughout the journey to calm her (and meself) down.
Our next stop was Kinabalu Park where the kids were having fun running around - hoping that they would get tired and settle down earlier - NOT!!!
We started the next day with snorkelling trip to Tunku Abdul Rahman Park. Had fun snorkelling hence less photos taken . Nina enjoyed watching and touching the fishies very much that we thought we must include snorkelling in our next trip.
We then enjoyed another 20 minutes boat ride to Sapi Island for our BBQ lunch
The final day was meant for shopping ...Thanks to papa for taking care of Nina and sponsoring my purchases ...Love you to bits!!!

Cuti-cuti Malaysia Lumut-Pangkor
|
|
Two things that happened during the holiday which worth mentioning...
1) How she managed to fix back the phone cable that we disconnected to prevent her from making any calls (learnt our lesson after one incident where the fire station called my parents house asking if everything was ok since they got a call from us - obviously made by the cheeky one)
2) How she inherits my habits- sangat suka meratah tulang and kepala ikan
